I say to the LORD, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.”
Psalm 16:2
I have no good apart from You.
Not food.
Not the family home.
Not past relationships.
Not romance.
Not vacations or getaways.
Not a perfect home.
Not a perfect marriage.
Not comfort.
Not entertainment.
The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed I have a beautiful inheritance.
Psalm 16: 6
I have tried to find my “good” in food, in the past, in romance, in escape, in my home, in my marriage, in comfort and entertainment.
But those only ultimately disappoint. I know I will only be satisfied when all the “good” that I seek , I seek in the Lord. So why do I strive to find good in everything but Him?
